In their first meeting of the season, the Lady Macks (8-3, 6-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) opened strong against the Ramblers (4-7, 1-5 WCC), only to see a double-digit advantage evaporate into a three point deficit at the half.
In the second, McDonell continued their strong defensive play as they slowly but surely regained control of the game and withstood a final Regis challenge to remain perfect in conference play and tally their first win of 2023.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Emily Cooper was strong from both the three point and free throw lines and finished with a game-high 18 points, while junior forward Aubrey Dorn notched 17 for the third consecutive contest. Three Lady Macks finished in double figures, as senior guard/forward Marley Hughes scored all 12 of her points in the second half.
