11/21/17 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 59, Mondovi 46

In their 2017-18 season opener, the Lady Macks (1-0, 0-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) fought off relentless press from a veteran Mondovi squad, showed their defensive intensity and depth, and withstood a furious second half run to eventually overwhelm the Buffaloes (1-1, 0-0 Dunn-St. Croix Conference). Four of the five McDonell starters scored double figures.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Abby Wampler poured in 10 of her game-high 16 points in the second half, while senior guard Payton Swoboda tallied 11 and recorded multiple steals with her harassing defense.
