Nutritionist Karen Hurd, joined by her daughter, Ruth, tells how in 1989, at 18 months, Ruth was poisoned by carpet insecticide, and would have died, were it not for a homemade, nutritional concoction put together by Karen referred to as "the green dragon." Later on WOGO radio Karen explains how this eventually led her to work in the field of nutrition, something she'd never previously intended to do.
