2/2/24 Basketball: McDonell Macks 77, Cadott 56

Finally at the finale of their six game road trip, the Macks (13-5, 7-4 Western Cloverbelt Conference) built an early lead, but watched it evaporate against the motivated Hornets (0-11, 5-14 WCC), who fought back and took a one point advantage into halftime.

After the break, McDonell took advantage of numerous Cadott fouls, earning multiple trips to the free throw line as well as getting hot from beyond the arc. The combination proved effective, as the Macks rolled to their thirteenth win and held tight in second place in the conference.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Sophomore guard Cael Holm did his damage from outside, knocking down four threes and finishing with a team high 16 points. Junior guard Cooper Mittermeyer was almost automatic from the free throw line and scored 14, while fellow junior guard Jordan Sikora played an incredibly balanced game and also tallied 14. Sophomore forward Karson Galvez was particularly strong in the first half and ended his night with 12 points, and sophomore center Mason Busse was the fifth Macks player in double figures, finishing with 10.
