12/27/24 Basketball: McDonell Macks 76, Clear Lake 29

In the finale of the 3rd Annual Denny Laramy Holiday Classic, the Macks (5-4, 0-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) jumped out early against the unbeaten Warriors (6-1, 4-0 West Lakeland Conference). McDonell crashed the glass hard, played relentless defense, and saw their unselfish offense start to hum as they led by 17 at the break.

In the second half the Macks continued to pour it on, cruising to victory and entering January with a winning record after beginning the season with a very challenging non-conference schedule.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Cael Holm hit a trio of threes and finished with a team-high 16 points, as 11 different McDonell players scored. Sophomore guard Eli Stepp also tallied three triples and tallied 11 on the night.

12/27/24 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 63, Clear Lake 35

Playing in the 3rd Annual Denny Laramy Holiday Classic, the Lady Macks (6-4, 4-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) fell into foul trouble in the first half against the lengthy Warriors (6-3, 4-0 Lakeland - West), who shaved a 12-point deficit down to just six at the break.

In the second half, however, the Lady Macks kept up the pressure D but avoided fouling, holding Clear Lake scoreless for over seven minutes to open up the second. Nine McDonell players scored as they rolled to a quality victory to end 2024.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Sophomore guard Claire Ruf led the way for the Lady Macks with 17 points, with fellow sophomore Rylie Christianson-Richardson and junior Chloe Flanagan each chipping in eight.
