12/2/21 Basketball: Stanley-Boyd 68, McDonell Macks 53

In their first conference game of the year, the Macks (0-2, 0-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) hung with the veteran Orioles (1-2, 1-0 WCC) early, but watched their deficit climb to eight points by the half, thanks to hot shooting from beyond the arc by the visitors.

After the break, McDonell hung on gamely, but could never quite get within striking distance as their senior-laden opponent pulled away late.

Despite battles with foul trouble, senior center Joe Janus led the way for McDonell with 16 points, while sharpshooting junior guard Eddie Mittermeyer notched 12 of his 14 points in the second half.
