9/25/20 Football: River Falls 23, Chi-Hi 8

After their high school football season was delayed 5 weeks, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (0-1, 0-1 Big Rivers Conference) headed out for their season opener, a road contest against River Falls (1-0, 1-0 BRC), last year's conference co-champs.

The Cards were able to force an early punt, but after a promising opening drive came up short, fell behind by two scores and were unable to find their rhythm offensively.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior LB Owen Krista consistently made plays in the Wildcats backfield, while senior RB Ben Steinmetz showed his speed and toughness while scoring Chi-Hi's first touchdown of the season.
