11/16/21 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 58, Ladysmith 36

Beginning their season at home in a tough non-conference test, the Lady Macks (1-0, 0-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out of the gate against the Lumberjills (0-1, 0-0 Heart O'North Conference) with lockdown defense.

Despite a second half comeback attempt by Ladysmith, McDonell never surrendered their double-digit lead and battled wire to wire in an impressive season-opening victory.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guard Lauryn Deetz led the way with 19 points, while sophomore Emily Cooper finished with 12, and senior Amber Adams added eight, all in the second half.
