The Cardinals(6-3-1, 1-3) swept Superior(5-9) in a twin bill at Gannon Field at Casper Park, 5-0 and 10-3.
In game one sophomore righty, Ryan Dickson, struck out nine in pitching a complete game shutout. The Cards got all the offense they needed with one run in the first, but added four more in the second on their way to the win. In game two the Cards built up a 4-0 lead before the Spartans plated their only three runs of the day in the fifth, but the Cards responded with two more in the bottom of the fifth and four in the sixth to win going away.
