After falling behind 9-0 to Stevens Point(8-3) Chippewa Falls(9-3) fought their way back to defeat the Panthers 20-12 in the first game of a doubleheader. Chase Fredrick's grand slam in the bottom of the 4th gave the Cards a 10-9 lead. Gavin Thompson's two run HR later helped provide some insurance.
In game two the Cards overcame a 1-0 deficit with two runs in the 5th another Thompson 2-run HR to defeat the Panthers 4-1. Sam Bresina struck out seven in five innings while giving up just one run, and Ryan Dickson picked up the save with five K's over two innings of shutout relief.
