2/10/24 Girls Basketball: Chippewa Falls-46 New Ricmond-40

             The first half saw three ties and two lead changes as a 3-pointer from sophomore, Olivia Bergerson, put the Cards(5-17, 2-11) up 20-19 going into halftime. 

The Cards played some of their best basketball of the season at both ends of the floor to start the 2nd half going on an 11-1 run in building up a 31-20 lead before the Tigers(0-21, 0-13) got as close as 37-36 on a Stella Nielsen 3-pointer. However, CF stiffened when they needed to outscoring NR 9-4 down the stretch on their way to a 46-40 win.


WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: Juniors Sarah Chaffee and Addy Seaholm led the way with 15 points a piece, while Riley Terhark chipped in with 6  and Roz Twyman added 5.

2/9/24 Boys Basketball: Menomonie-71 Chippewa Falls-56

            After Menomonie(7-13, 3-9) went on an 11-0 run to grab a 21-10 first half lead, the Cards(1-18, 0-11) cut the deficit to six at 24-18 before the Mustangs outscored them 12-6 to take a 36-24 into the half.

The game of runs continued after intermission with Menomonie outscoring the Cards 11-3 to grab a 47-27 edge. CF responded with an 11-2 run of their own, but an offensive foul prevented them from getting closer than 49-38 the rest of the way on their way to a 71-56 road defeat.


WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: Braden Dickerson led the Cards in the 1st half scoring 12 of his 15 points, while Easton Bobb led the way in the 2nd half with 21 of his 24 points. Carson Wedemeyer also added 11 points.
