Back at Dorais for Homecoming 2026, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (4-2, 2-2 Big Rivers Conference) hosted Rice Lake in yet another showdown of well-coached programs.
In a contest with ball control offense and extremely limited possessions, the Warriors (0-6, 0-4 BRC) moved down the field throughout, but the Chi-Hi defense continually came up with stops in their territory.
The Cardinals offense played excellent complimentary football, scoring on each of their four possessions - much to the delight of the crowd - and the Cards stayed unbeaten at home.
Senior Tyler Behnke was a workhouse on the ground, while fellow senior Gavin Shilts made impact plays on offense, defense, and special teams.
