Chippewa Falls(12-10) came from behind to win both games of the home doubleheader over Wausau West(3-15) by scores of 8-7 and 5-4.
In game one the Cards overcame a 7-2 deficit with one out in the bottom of the 7th after WW starter, Ty Teske, had to leave the game after reaching the 100-pitch mark. CF turned four singles, two walks, a hit batsman, and a passed ball off three Warriors relievers into six runs and a surprising win.
In game two the Cards overcame a 4-1 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the sixth on their way to a 5-4 win. Sophomore, Gavin Thompson, was splendid in long relief for starter, Carter Berg, shutting out the hot-hitting Warriors over 6 2/3 innings for the win.
Senior, Braden Dickerson, was the Cards hottest hitter for the day with three doubles and two singles.
