UW-Eau Claire Psychology Professor, Doug Matthews, discusses his research on the use and abuse of alcohol and looks ahead to an Eau Claire visit this week from Dr. George Koob, director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Koob will give a free presentation, "Changing the Conversation about Alcohol," 9/19 at 7pm in Schofield auditorium. He'll address alcohol consumption, including raising awareness about the scope of the problem, and shedding light on the social and health consequences of alcohol misuse, which Matthews says continues to be a huge problem in WI. We also hear from Cat Morgan, the new Executive Director of Eau Claire's anti-human trafficking, education organization, Fierce Freedom.
