5/31/18 WIAA Div. 5 Softball Sectional Final: (1) McDonell Lady Macks 2, (1) Drummond 1

In a collision of two #1 seeds, the defending champion Lady Macks (18-1, 13-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out of the gate a bit slowly but plated two runs on Drummond miscues while riding a dominant pitching performance from senior Megan Baier.
The Lumberjills (19-4, 13-1 Indianhead) showed no quit, providing a scare in the bottom of the seventh, but after her no-hitter bid ended, Baier (12 Ks, 2 hits, 0 BB) slammed the door to help send McDonell back to Madison in pursuit of a repeat title.

Location: Gilman, WI
WOGO Announcers: Caleb Svendsen and Sydney Schemenauer
