9/22/19--Chippewa Valley This Week: Providing Help and Hope for Domestic Violence Survivors
Looking ahead to October's "Domestic Violence Awareness Month," and the alarming fact that one in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime, Allstate's Caitlin Canon brings us up to speed on the Unique Boutique Trunk Show coming up Oct. 12th from 10am-6pm at Mood Boutique, 230 Main St. East in Menomonie. Plus, Caitlin fills us in on the Benefit for the Bridge to Hope and the Donation Drive for the Purple Purse, which seeks to create long-term safety and security for survivors of domestic violence through financial empowerment. In advance of the event, our WWIB/WOGO studios are a drop off location, as folks are encouraged to bring in gently used purses, backpacks, and suitcases.
