3/4/22 WIAA Division 5 Basketball Regional Semi-Final: (8) McDonell Macks 43, (1) Clear Lake 39

On the road and facing their region's #1 seed, the Macks (13-13, 7-7 Western Cloverbelt Conference) overcame an early scoring drought as they battled the intense pressure defense of the Warriors (23-3, 16-2 Lakeland - West), making a late run to trail by just two at the break.

Despite significant foul trouble, the Macks gained and held the lead for much of the second half, and came up with key plays on both ends down the stretch for a thrilling win.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior forward Canan Huss scored 11 of his team-high 17 points in the second half, including a brilliant performance from the free throw line, while junior guard Eddie Mittermeyer was closed behind with 15, including three huge three-pointers.
