1/11/21 Basketball: McDonell Macks 69, Osseo-Fairchild 47

Looking to make a push back into conference contention, the Macks (6-3, 2-3 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out of the gate hot against the Thunder (0-4, 0-4 WCC),  before foul trouble allowed the home team to cut the deficit to 7 by halftime.

In the second, McDonell locked in defensively and came away with one of their most balanced offensive performances of the season.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guards Jake Siegenthaler and Logan Hughes led with 16 and 14 points, respectively, but five Macks players hit double-digits, including senior forward Tanner Opsal with 13, junior guard Dan Anderson with 12, and sophomore guard Eddie Mittermeyer with 10!

1/11/21 Basketball: Osseo-Fairchild 54, McDonell Lady Macks 47

On the road against the undefeated conference leader, the Lady Macks (6-3, 4-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) could not get shots to fall and fell behind early after a relentless interior attack from the Thunder (8-0, 7-0 WCC).

After closing the gap before the half, McDonell fought back to take the lead, but watched it slip away down the stretch against a quality opponent that would not be denied on the offensive glass.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guard Anna Geissler battled fiercely yet again and gritted out 11 second half points to finish with a team-high 12, while sophomore guard/forward Marley Hughes helped carry the load with 11.
