1/31/20 Basketball: Hudson 54-Chi Hi 51

Chi Hi (9-8, 4-4 Big Rivers Conference) went on the road to face the Hudson Raiders (13-4, 8-1 BRC) without Caelan Givens who was out with injury. Hudson took the lead early but Chi Hi kept it close without, tying Hudson over and over, eventually taking a lead with a minute to play before Hudson answered back to take the win and take the season sweep.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Alexis Zenner kept the Cardinals offense going in the first half and Senior Aaliyah McMillan hit a clutch 3 to put Chi Hi ahead for their one lead of the game.

1/30/20 Basketball: Thorp 44, McDonell Macks 43

In their second meeting of the regular season, the Macks (12-3, 7-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) and the Cardinals (10-5, 6-3 WCC) swayed back and forth in a low-scoring first half as neither team could take a decisive advantage.
After the break, Thorp came out strong and built a 13-point lead before McDonell came storming back, only to see a putback with under 10 seconds left hand them just their second conference loss of the year.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior center Eion Kressin scored a team-high 13 points while hauling down rebound after rebound, and fellow senior JD Bohaty hit some big shots while tallying 10.

1/24/20 Basketball: Chi Hi 85-Eau Claire North 81 2OT

Chi Hi (9-4, 5-1 Big Rivers Conference) had gotten the best of Eau Claire North (9-2, 4-2 BRC) when the teams played early last week, but when they met again Eau Claire Friday night, no one could have predicted the instant classic that would ensue. Chi Hi raced out to a 21 point lead in the first half, but the Huskies ralled all the way back. Regulation was not enough to decide it, and neither was the first overtime before Chi Hi finally prevailed for a season sweep.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior Joe Reuter led the way with 24 points, including the go ahead basket in double OT. Freshman Mason Monarski was spectacular off the bench with 19 points, while Senior Nick Bruder was excellent late with free throws to score 18 points.
