11/29/22 Boys Basketball: Chippewa Falls-71 Medford-69

           Both the Cardinals JV and Varsity boys teams netted 71 points and wins at Medford to start the season. The JVers needed double OT to get past the Raiders, 71-63. After the Chi High Varsity was tied at 19 they outscored Medford the rest of the first half, 22-9, to take a 41-28 lead into the half.

After intermission the Cards built their lead to as much as 16, but Medford came back to twice tie the game, before the CF eventually prevailed, 71-69.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Mason Monarski's 22 points and Jackson Tomczak's 21 points led the way as the Cards won their season opener on the road. Monarski's effort was highlighted by a 1st half 4-point play, while Tomczak scored inside and out.

                                                            Audrey Nelson, the new Executive Director of the Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin, tells about the car accident from over 40 years ago that left her with a brain injury, her work over the years helping those who suffered brain injuries, and her plans for the Alliance which is based out of UW-Eau Claire.
