Outscorign DC Everest (5-2, 1-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference).50-26 in the final 30 minutes of basketball, despite the Evergreens carrying three starters at 5'11'' and above. The Lady Cardinals used a pressurizing perimeter defense to create havoc among Evergreen guards and force turnovers leading into easy buckets to win 56 to 39.
Alexis Zenner had the best game of her young career as the freshman got into double-digits for the first time with 12 points in the first half alone. Bailee Sillman and Lexi Hanley worked at the top of the Cardinals zone to force a number of deflections and steals. Brooke Rooney hit three 3's and got into double digits with 11 points.
