This Saturday, Aug. 21st, the first annual Veterans Fest is being held at Strike Time Lanes in Neillsville, WI, with all the proceeds going to Every Third Saturday, a nonprofit organization in Minneapolis providing programs and support for at-risk veterans. ETS' Founder, Tom Mc Kenna, tells us how they got started more than 10 years ago. Meanwhile, Chippewa Falls High School Football Coach says his team and the high school will be hosting a warm clothing drive for Homeless Vets throughout September, kicking off with the Veteran's Night game Sept. 3rd vs. Menomonie. Finally, Dr. Ryan Weichelt, a UW-Eau Claire associate professor of geography whose work includes studying the U.S. Census report, offers his take on the early report and the upcoming battle over redistricting.
