1/18/20 Basketball: McDonell Macks 49, Alma Center Lincoln 48

In a battle of two state-ranked squads in Division 5, the Macks (10-2, 5-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) scored the first five points of the game before the Hornets (12-2, 7-0 Lakeland - East) fought back to tie the game at the break.
In the second half Lincoln steadily inched away and looked to have the game on ice, but heroics in the final minute gave the Miracle Macks another come-from-behind victory.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Jake Siegenthaler scored eight in each half to finish with a game-high 16, while senior guard Trent Witkowski scored 7 critical points in the second half, including the game-winner.

1/18/20 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 76, Flambeau 24

Two Division 5 teams with title aspirations in their respective conferences clashed on a snowy Saturday afternoon in Chippewa Falls, and, from the opening tip, the Lady Macks (8-4, 6-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) seemingly could not miss, blowing the game wide open in the first half and leading by 45 at the break. The Falcons (7-4, 6-0 Lakeland - East) found a bit more offense in the second half against many McDonell reserves, but a running clock capped a dominant non-conference performance by Coach Don Cooper's Lady Macks as they prepared for the second half of the Cloverbelt schedule.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Sophomore guard Lauryn Deetz scored a game-high 21, while junior guard Anna Geissler knocked down five triples and tallied 19. Fellow junior Maggie Craker was close behind with 15 points.
