12/11/21 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 62, Fall Creek 44

Playing at home for just the second time this season, the Lady Macks (5-0, 3-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) quickly found themselves behind the Crickets (3-4, 1-2 WCC), who played an incredibly efficient first half offensively.

The Macks battled to within a basket by halftime, then started the second on a 7-0 run and never looked back, as they steadily widened their lead and remained perfect on the season.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guard Lauryn Deetz poured in 21 points against a tough defense, while junior forward Marley Hughes notched 13 - including some spectacular left-handed finishes in traffic - and senior guard Destiny Baughman chipped in 11.

12/11/21 Basketball: McDonell Macks 68, Colfax 61

Competing once again in the Northwest Tip-Off Classic at UW-Stout, the Macks (3-2, 1-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) got off to a hot start against the Vikings (2-3, 1-1 Dunn - St. Croix), but Colfax quickly closed the gap and surged ahead, before a late McDonell basket put them up by one at the break.

In the second half, a back-and-forth contest finally went the way of the Macks as they played tight defense down the stretch and hit late free throws to seal the victory.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Eddie Mittermeyer poured in a career-high 26 points, including five 3-pointers, while senior center Joe Janus was a force on both offense and defense and tallied 18 points.
