8/26/21 Football: Chi-Hi 10, D.C. Everest 9

The Chippewa Falls Cardinals (2-0, 0-0 Big Rivers Conference) took their first road trip of the season to D.C. Everest to face the Evergreens (1-1, 0-0 Valley Football Association). In a matchup that had not been played for 17 years, the two heavyweights battled to a scoreless tie at the half before adding a field goal apiece in the third quarter.

In the final frame, Chi-Hi got crucial contributions from offense, defense, and the special teams unit to take the lead and hold it in game's the waning seconds.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior RB Judah Dunham made explosive plays as a receiver in both halves, including the game-winning 28-yard TD reception on a beautiful touch pass from fellow senior Brayden Warwick. On the defensive, seniors Owen Krista and Elijah Hable were once again all over the field for the Cards.
