Catcher Phil Clarke helped lead Vanderbilt University to the College Baseball World Series title last year hitting .316 with 6 homers and 59 RBIs in 54 games. A few days after the CWS Phil signed a huge contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. The former Tennessee state high school player of the year joins Greg on Sports and Commentary to visit about his first full season in the Jays organization, his incredible college season in 2019 and his faith. 2/18/20 Basketball: Eau Claire Regis 58, McDonell Macks 52 (OT)

On the road yet again, and in a battle for the third spot in the conference, the Macks (13-6, 8-5 Western Cloverbelt Conference) went back and forth with the Ramblers (15-5, 9-4 WCC) but fell behind by seven points at the break.

In the second half, McDonell ground out a comeback to tie the game at 47, only to see a potential game-winner rim out at the buzzer. In the extra period, Regis took advantage of turnovers to pull out to a lead they would not relinquish.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior center Eion Kressin was active inside, notching yet another double-double while scoring 13 points, matched by the tally of junior guard Logan Hughes. Fellow junior Jake Siegenthaler battled foul trouble but still finished with 12.

2/17/20 Basketball: Chippewa Falls-59 River Falls-56

The Chi High Boys(14-4, 9-1) strengthened their hold on the top spot in the BRC with a thrilling 59-56 home win over River Falls(14-5, 6-3). Peyton Rogers-Schmidt's game-winning 3-pointer from the deep left corner in the waning moments propelled Chi-High to the win. It also brings the Cardinals one step closer to the program's first Big Rivers Conference title in 32 years.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Peyton Rodgers-Schmidt led the way with 27 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, along with stellar defense, in helping the Cards to the win.

2/17/20

Chi Hi (9-8, 4-4 Big Rivers Conference) went on the road to face the Hudson Raiders (13-4, 8-1 BRC) without Caelan Givens who was out with injury. Hudson took the lead early but Chi Hi kept it close without, tying Hudson over and over, eventually taking a lead with a minute to play before Hudson answered back to take the win and take the season sweep. 

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Alexis Zenner kept the Cardinals offense going in the first half and Senior Aaliyah McMillan hit a clutch 3 to put Chi Hi ahead for their one lead of the game.

2/16/20--CVTW: Meeting WI's Three State Supreme Court Candidates

 Get better acquainted with Wisconsin's three State Supreme Court candidates before the Primary, Feb. 18th, which will serve to shrink the field to two candidates. The three candidates include 55 year old, Dan Kelly, a married father of five children. Kelly has been serving on the State Supreme Court since having been appointed by Gov. Walker in 2016 to replace the retiring David Prosser. 53 Year old, Jill Karofsky, is a single mother of two children. She serves as a Dane County Circuit Court judge. Finally, Marquette University Law Professor, Ed Fallone, is a married father of two children. Fallone came up short in his previous bid for State Supreme Court in 2013.

2/14/20 Basketball: Chi Hi 82-Eau Claire Memorial 60

The Chi Hi Cardinals (13-4, 8-1 Big Rivers Conference) played host in a pivotal game in conference against the Eau Claire Memorial old Abes (7-12, 4-6 BRC) on Valentine's night. The Cardinals had a lead of 6 at the break before pulling away in the second half with a flurry of three pointers and dunks to bury Memorial and move one step closer to their first conference championship in 30 years.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior Joe Reuter put up a game high 23 points and 10 rebounds, including going 11-12 at the free throw line. Junior Jacob Walczak put up 21 points, mostly in the second half where he hit a few threes and threw down a dunk. Peyton Rogers Schmidt had 18 points, 8 rebounds and a dunk of his own.

2/11/20 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 72, Eau Claire Regis 65

Facing Regis for the second time this season, the Lady Macks (12-8, 9-4 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out a little flat and immediately fell into a big hole against the motivated Ramblers (1-12, 2-17 WCC), who led 20-3 at one point in the first half.

McDonell made a late surge to close the gap, then both teams battled gamely after the break until the Lady Macks pulled away in the final minutes.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Maggie Craker led the way with 22 points, while fellow junior Anna Geissler knocked down five triples and was close behind with 19. Freshman Marley Hughes tallied a career-high 17, all of which came in the second half.

2/10/20 Basketball: Chi Hi 65-Holmen 44

Chi Hi (12-8, 6-4 Big Rivers Conference) played host in a non-conference battle with the Holmen Vikings (12-7, 5-5 Mississippi Valley Conference) on Monday night. Holmen held their only lead of the entire game at 3-2 before Chi Hi ripped off 10 straight points on their way to a double figure lead at the half and a 20 point lead for much of the second half in a win that could be crucial for Chi Hi with regard to seeding.

Senior Caelan Givens returned from injury after missing 3 games and threw down 20 points, while Senior Alexis Zenner played her typical excellent defense and didn't miss from the field or the free throw line, making every shot she took on the way to 13 points, while Senior aaliyah McMillan added 12
