Looking for a season sweep of their perennial rivals, the Lady Macks (16-3, 10-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out of the gate hot, sending through a barrage of threes against the Ramblers (7-12, 4-8 WCC), and leading by 13 at the half.
After the break, McDonell tightened up their defense and allowed just 18 second half points as they cruised to their tenth conference victory.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior forward Marley Hughes scored nine in each half to tally her season-high of 18 points, while senior guard Lauryn Deetz had a big second half to finish with 15. Sophomore sharpshooter Emily Cooper did her damage in the first half, scoring all 13 of her points before the break.
