50 years ago this past November 14th, Southern Airlines flight 932 crashed on a wooded West Virginia hillside killing everyone on board. The Marshall University football team was returning from a road game and they all perished in the tragedy. Ed Carter was an Offensive Tackle on that team but missed the flight to attend his father's funeral in Texas. Ed later found Jesus Christ as his Savior and became an evangelist. The husband and father of 2 sons joins Greg on Sports and Commentary to talk about his "second chance" and tell the stories of his fallen coaches and teammates. Part 1 of a 2 part series.

11/15/20 Chippewa Valley This Week: Kicking Off "Restorative Justice Week"

   Chippewa Valley This Week









To kick off "Restorative Justice Week," Dana Brown, Eau Claire County Restorative Justice Coordinator, and Dr. Shannon Silva, Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Social Work at the Univ. of Denver, explain what restorative justice is. They also say since crime damages people and relationships, justice should be about repairing the harm. And Dana explains the three components of restorative justice are victim needs, offender accountability, and community involvement.

11/13/2020 Football: McDonell 64-Siren 16

In the WIAA culmination event, or final game of the season, the Macks (5-3) played host to the Siren Dragons (1-4) in a game McDonell dominated from the jump, blowing things open in the first quarter with a barrage of touchdowns and pitching a shutout for over 3 quarters of play.


WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior TAnner Opsal rushed and passed for multiple scores, while Junior Noah Hanson was on the receving end of one of those scores and had 3 sacks on defense.

After 4 years of Division One college hockey Bobby Robins spent 10 years meandering through the grind of minor league hockey. He finally got his chance at the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins. At age 32 he became the oldest rookie to make an opening NHL roster with the "bean towners". Bobby works with FCA hockey now and Greg visits with him about his spiritual transformation on Sports and Commentary
