Derek Rivers is the rookie Defensive End for the AFC Champion New England Patriots. The Youngstown State grad joins Greg on Sports and Commentary to talk about Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis, the preseason injury that ending his rookie campaign and his faith.

1/30/18 Basketball: McDonell Macks 71, Fall Creek 51

After a slow start, the Macks (10-6, 8-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) clawed their way back to a lead at the half, then roared away down the stretch to knock off the visiting Crickets (1-13, 1-9 WCC) and pick up their fifth consecutive victory.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Hayden Baughman carried the offense on his shoulders in the first half, tallying 19 of his game-high 25 points.
Junior guard Cory Hoglund was held scoreless in the first half, but exploded for 13 after the break, while junior forward Charlie Bleskachek and sophomore forward Eion Kressin were a constant force in the paint, each notching 12.

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to their first Super Bowl in 13 years when they play the New England Patriots in Minneapolis on February 4th. Eagles special teams star and Captain Chris Maragos joins Greg on Sports and Commentary to talk about his season ending injury, The Super Bowl matchup and his faith. Part 2 of a 3 part series.


1/26/18 Boys Basketball: Chi Hi 80 - Menomonie 63


Chi Hi (10-6, 4-4 Big Rivers Conference) dominated the Menomonie Mustangs (1-14, 0-8 BRC) in the second half of a girls/boys doubleheader Friday Night. Chi Hi came out aggressive in the first half, forcing turnovers they converted into points and making 7 3-pointers to hold a staggering 40-23 lead at the half.

The Cardinals' lead would never shrink into the single digits all second half long as they scored a season high 80 points in the game to even up their Big Rivers record with a season sweep of Menomonie.



WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior Tyler Robarge muscled his way to a team leading 19 points including an impressive 5-5 from the free throw line. Senior Bryce Daniels and Sophomore Nick Bruder each had 15 points for the Cardinals in the team's best offensive output of the year.

1/26/18 Girl's Basketball: Chi Hi 51-Menomonie 41


Chi Hi (10-6, 7-1 Big Rivers Conference) played host to the Menomonie Mustangs (11-6, 4-4 BRC) in the first half of a girls/boys doubleheader Friday Night. In the first half, Chi Hi struggled to put points on the board and the Mustangs held the lead at the half 25-23 thanks to the dominance of Tyra Boettcher's 18 first half points.

However, early in the second half, the Lady Cards got hot from behind the arc and swished 4 3-pointers in a five minute span to take a lead they would not relinquish to finish off a season sweep of Menomonie.



WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Sophomore Caelan Givens continued her remarkable season by leading the team in scoring with 14 points. Sophomore Alexis Zenner returned to action after missing 3 games with an ankle injury and contributed 11 key points for the Cards.
