The Chi High boys picked up where they left off last season winning a hard fought season opener at home over Hudson, 74-70.
After falling behind by 11 early in the second half, 43-32, the Raiders fought hard to pull even at 63 and 65, before CF outscored them 9-5 down the stretch.
6-5 Sr, Joe Reuter, led the way with 31 pts., five assists, four rebounds and four steals. 6-foot So., Mason Monarski, dropped in four of the team's 11 3-pointers on his way to 16 pts., while 6-5 Sr., Jacob Walczak, had 15 pts. to go his team-high 5 rebs.
