2/28/17 D5 Regional Quarterfinal: (1) McDonell Macks 84, (16) New Auburn 29

Beginning their title defense, the Macks (20-3, 13-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) saw 12 players enter the scoring column and employed relentless defensive pressure to overwhelm the youthful Trojans (4-18, 3-9 East Lakeland Conference).

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Nathan Hoglund tallied 11 of his game-high 15 points in the first half, while fellow senior Grayson Knowlton was close behind with 14. Junior Hayden Baughman and senior Alex Ohde rounded out four Macks players in double figures, scoring 10 apiece.

2/25/17 D5 Regional Final: (2) McDonell Lady Macks 47, (3) Flambeau 45

In a heavyweight bout between the state's #3 and #6 teams, the Lady Macks (22-3, 12-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) slogged their way through a foul-ridden, physical contest to knock off the long and talented Falcons (22-2, 12-o East Lakeland Conference) for the second time in the same season.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Josie Verbick hit free throw after free throw in the second half and finished with 15 points to lead the Lady Macks, while junior Abby Opsal tallied 10 of her 11 points in the second half

2/23/17 D5 Regional Semi-Final: (2) McDonell Lady Macks 42, (7) Rib Lake 36

In their second postseason game, the Lady Macks (21-3, 12-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) didn't make it easy on themselves but nevertheless came out on top in a defensive struggle, finding just enough offense to fend off the youthful Redmen (16-8, 10-2 Marawood North Conference).

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Josie Verbick hit three big shots from beyond the arc and led McDonell with 10 points, while junior Abby Opsal and sophomore Abby Wampler turned in strong efforts with nine and eight points, respectively.

In the Cloverbelt Crossover second place game, the Lady Macks (19-3, 12-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) overcame cold shooting and foul trouble by digging in their heels defensively against the state-ranked Greyhounds (18-4, 15-1 Easter Cloverbelt Conference).

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Abby Klimek poured in 10 of her game-high 13 points in the second half, while junior Abby Opsal was close behind with 12. Junior Megan Baier and senior Josie Verbick each contributed crucial blocks in the second half.

2/17/17 Chippewa Fall Lady Cardinals 58, Eau Claire North 55

On Senior Night in Chippewa Falls, Chi-Hi (16-6, 9-3 Big Rivers Conference) fought back from a nine point deficit in the first half - and withstood a withering barrage of threes in the second - to split the season series with the Huskies (16-6, 9-3 BRC).
After the game's conclusion, the Lady Cards received the most pleasant of surprises, as conference front-runner Hudson was upset in OT, giving Chi-Hi a share of the conference title for the sixth consecutive year.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior Lexi Hanley was sensational in both halves, but particularly after the break, pouring in 18 of her game-high 27 points. Freshman Caelan Givens added 9 points, and the entire Lady Cardinals squad played excellent pressure defense.

In this classic Catholic school and conference rivalry, the Macks (16-3, 12-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference), fought off an early hot streak from Regis with hot shooting of their own to sweep the season series against the Ramblers (15-5, 9-4 WCC) and claim at least a share of the conference title for the second consecutive season.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior Hayden Baughman poured in a game-high 24 points, while senior Grayson Knowlton was right behind with 22. Fellow senior Nathan Hoglund added 14, and senior Ryan Sorensen had a number of crucial offensive rebounds after getting the start.
