2/20/21 WIAA Division 5 Sectional Final Basketball: (3) McDonell Lady Macks 72, (1) Prairie Farm 53

On the road again, this time facing the #1 seed in their sectional, the Lady Macks (12-3, 6-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) fell behind by double digits early as the Panthers (19-3, 10-0 Central Lakeland Conference), exploded out of the gate.

Despite the deficit, McDonell stayed cool and began to counterpunch, pouring in 42 points by halftime to lead by nine. In the second half the Lady Macks extended their lead, never allowing Prairie Farm to mount a significant threat as they surged to the program's first ever WIAA State Tournament appearance!

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Lauryn Deetz led the way with 19 points, while freshman Emily Cooper rained in four threes to finish with 14, and junior Destiny Baughman tallied 12.
