8/31/17 Football: Fall Creek 63, Altoona 25

Looking for their first win of the season while facing yet another resurgent conference foe, the Altoona Railroaders (0-3, 0-3 Cloverbelt Conference) bounced back from an early 14-0 deficit and showed offensive explosiveness, but couldn't overtake the Crickets (1-2, 1-2 Cloverbelt) and their relentless ground game.

Hope Gospel Mission(hopegospelmission.org) Executive Director, Sandi Polzin, explains how her multi-faceted ministry is looking to add a new facility for women and children on Frank St. on the west side of Eau Claire. The proposal will be dealt with at upcoming city council meetings in October. Everyone is invited to HGM's annual Harvest of Hope fundraiser Sept. 26th in Eau Claire.

Fresno State outfielder Zach Ashford won the MVP award for the Eau Claire Express Northwood's League baseball team this summer. The Clovis California native joins Greg on sports and Commentary to talk about the season and how he grew as a follower of Jesus this summer here in the Chippewa Valley.

8/25/17 Football: Chi-Hi 28, Medford 13

The Chippewa Falls Cardinals (1-1, 0-0 Big Rivers Conference) gave up an early score to the Raiders (0-2, 0-0 Great Northern Conference) but then ripped off 28 unanswered points and put forth a physical defensive effort in the second half to cruise to their first victory of 2017.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: Senior Codie Meinen scored his fourth and fifth touchdowns of the season, including a 67-yard gallop on his first touch and a 47-yarder in the second half, as he once again easily surpassed the century mark in rushing yards and showcased his power and game-breaking speed.

At home for their season opener at Fuzzy Thurston Field, the Altoona Railroaders (0-1, 0-1 Cloverbelt Conference) were led by a valiant effort from senior Kolten Wright in all three phases and made a number of big plays on the defensive line, but couldn't quite overcome the experienced Hornets (1-0, 1-0 Cloverbelt) and their explosive aerial attack.
