Facing the state's top team, the Macks (18-11, 9-5 Western Cloverbelt Conference) battled the Cardinals (27-1, 13-0 Scenic Bluffs) gamely throughout much of the first half, but watched Bangor steadily pull away in the second. Still, McDonell returned home having defeated four #1 seeds in the WIAA Division 5 tournament and earned a silver ball for their trophy case!
