In a critical game in the conference standings, the Lady Macks (14-3, 10-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) went back and forth in the first half with the Thunder (10-7, 6-4 WCC), an experienced team laden with seniors.
After halftime, McDonell's defense began to create significant separation and it looked like they would run away with the game, but the veteran Thunder squad got hot down the stretch and made the Lady Macks execute in the final minutes to secure their tenth conference win.
