Enjoying the second of a 5-game homestand, the Macks (15-1, 7-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) went back and forth in the early going against the Ramblers (1-7, 2-12 WCC), but began to pull away late in the first half. .
After the break, McDonell stretched their 14-point halftime advantage out far enough to threaten a running clock, before hot three-point shooting late by Regis pulled them respectably closer. Nine different Macks players scored as they continued to stay neck and neck in the conference title race, and completed the season series sweep of their rivals from Eau Claire.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior forward Canan Huss was quietly phenomenal as usual, scoring double digits in each half for a game-high 24 points, while senior guard Eddie Mittermeyer battled through a Box and 1 defense to notch 14, and senior forward Keagan Galvez knocked down a pair of triples and finished with 10.
