On the road for the fifth consecutive game to start the year, the Lady Macks (3-2, 2-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) traveled east to face the Cardinals (1-4, 0-2 WCC), in a matchup of two teams who like to push the pace of the game to the limit.
From the first tip, relentless pressure by McDonell saw Thorp commit a number of turnovers, as the Cardinals were taken out of their rhythm offensively and only managed 9 points by the break.
In the second half, the Lady Macks continued to assert themselves on both ends of the floor, cruising to a running clock victory and remaining perfect early in their conference schedule.

Junior guard Maddie Geissler knocked down four threes and scored a game-high 18 points, while senior guard/forward Marley Hughes hit a trio of treys and was right behind with 16. Sophomore Sophia Schmidgall notched 12, while junior Aubrey Dorn returned to action and tallied 10.
