Playing in the ninth game of the day at the Northwest Tip-Off Classic at UW-Stout in Menomonie, which didn't even start until 9:15, the Macks(5-0) were anything but sleepy as they won their fifth straight game to start the season. After falling behind 4-0 early, the McDonell grabbed the lead at 9-7 and never looked back, leading by as many as nine in the first half on their way to a 32-31 halftime lead. In the second half the Macks outscored Colfax(3-2) 51-34 on their way to an 83-65 win.

6-3 Sr., Canan Huss, led the way with 28 points,16 in the first half and 12 after intermission. After going scoreless in the first half, 5-11 Sr. Eddie Mittermeyer caught fire after intermission dropping in six 3's and netting a total of 26 points.
