Facing the powerful front-runners of their conference, the Macks (6-7, 4-3 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out firing on their home floor, temporarily stunning the Crickets (11-1, 7-0 WCC), and roaring out to a 17-point halftime advantage.
In a tale of two halves, however, Fall Creek scored the first eight points after the break and slowly but surely chipped away at the McDonell lead, pulling in front and pulling away in the closing minutes.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior forward Canan Huss scored 20 points before fouling out, while junior guard Aidan Misfeldt was on fire in the first half, canning a trio of triples as he tallied 15 for the game.
