3/4/21 WIAA Division 5 State Semi-Final Basketball: (2) McDonell Macks 67, (3) Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran 40

Back at the state tournament, the Macks (17-4, 8-4 Western Cloverbelt Conference) pulled out to an early double-digit lead over the Blazers (16-11 7-8 Packerland Conference) before N.E.W. Lutheran charged back within two.

Right before the half, senior Logan Hughes beat the buzzer with a three to extend the lead to five. Then, to begin the second, senior Jake Siegenthaler sparked a 13-1 run and McDonell never looked back as they charged into the WIAA Division 5 State Title Game.

Senior guard Jake Siegenthaler was brilliant in the second half on his way to a career-high 25 points, while fellow senior Logan Hughes added 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, and junior center Joe Janus scored 10 pts in just 15 minutes.
