The Chi Hi Cardinals (13-4, 8-1 Big Rivers Conference) played host in a pivotal game in conference against the Eau Claire Memorial old Abes (7-12, 4-6 BRC) on Valentine's night. The Cardinals had a lead of 6 at the break before pulling away in the second half with a flurry of three pointers and dunks to bury Memorial and move one step closer to their first conference championship in 30 years.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior Joe Reuter put up a game high 23 points and 10 rebounds, including going 11-12 at the free throw line. Junior Jacob Walczak put up 21 points, mostly in the second half where he hit a few threes and threw down a dunk. Peyton Rogers Schmidt had 18 points, 8 rebounds and a dunk of his own.
