Two Division 5 teams with title aspirations in their respective conferences clashed on a snowy Saturday afternoon in Chippewa Falls, and, from the opening tip, the Lady Macks (8-4, 6-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) seemingly could not miss, blowing the game wide open in the first half and leading by 45 at the break. The Falcons (7-4, 6-0 Lakeland - East) found a bit more offense in the second half against many McDonell reserves, but a running clock capped a dominant non-conference performance by Coach Don Cooper's Lady Macks as they prepared for the second half of the Cloverbelt schedule.
