In their final home game of the season, the Macks (16-9, 9-5 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out of the gate strong against the Buccaneers (13-11, 8-8 Marawood North Conference) and built a nine-point lead by the half, only to see it dwindle to a single point in the final minutes. Down the stretch, clutch offensive execution and solid defensive play helped McDonell pull out the victory and claim their fifth consecutive regional title!

Junior center Eion Kressin owned the paint and scored a career-high 20 points, while senior guard Cory Hoglund knocked down two critical free throws in the waning seconds and finished with 16.
