Chi Hi (13-7, 9-2 Big Rivers Conference) never trailed against the River Falls Wildcats (5-15, 2-10 BRC), but that didn't mean the game was a blowout. The Lady Cards started strong to hold a 27-21 lead at the half and stretched their lead into the double digits, but a run in the second half by the Wildcats cut the lead all the way to just 2 points at 45-43.
From there, clutch free throw shooting for Chippewa Falls secured a victory as they pulled away in the game's closing minutes to salt away the season sweep of River Falls and keep pace with Hudson at 9-2 in the quest for a Big Rivers Conference crown.
