In their home opener, the Chi-Hi Lady Cardinals (2-2, 0-0 Big Rivers Conference) played in a thrilling nail-biter on parents night to beat the SPASH Panthers (2-3, 0-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference). The game was tied at 28 at the half, but Stevens Point opened the second half with a 7-0 run and the Lady Cardinals played catch up until the final 5.3 seconds where two Lexi Hanley free throws gave Chi-Hi an eventual win.

Lexi Hanley played lights out offensively and defensively all night long, scoring 20 points including the game-winning free throws. She also added four steals. Freshman sensation Caelan Givens had 14 points all off of the bench to aid the comeback, and Bailee Sillman went double digit in points for the first this season, scoring 11. Alexis Zenner's defense against Panther standout Madisyn Rogan allowed Chi-Hi to complete the thrilling win.
