Wisconsin Railroad Commissoner, Don Vruwink, joins us to discuss railroad safety. He says Wisconsin has more than 42-hundred public RR crossings and another 2-thousand private RR crossings. Vruwink says an incident occurs at a WI RR crossing every three hours. He says there have been three RR-related WI fatalities since he took over March 20th. With high-speed rail expanding in WI he believes in more important than ever to call attention to railroad safety.
