Eau Claire County Environmental Health Specialist, Elizabeth Paulson, urges people to protect their family from radon by taking action, saying radon testing is easy. Paulson says over 2,900 Wisconsinites die from lung cancer each year, with 488 calculated to be radon-related lung cancer deaths. She says radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. She says radon-induced lung cancer is preventable, and the first step is to test your home. Also, Sandi Polzin, Executive Director of Hope Gospel Mission, brings us up to date on their newly opened Renewal Center for Women and Children, which can house up to 11 Mom's, and their kids.
