After a week off, the Macks (9-10, 6-5 Western Cloverbelt Conference) came out firing against the undermanned Thunder (3-14, 3-8 WCC), knocking down six threes and leading by 17 at the half.
In the second, McDonell continued to spark their offense with strong defensive play, cruising to a conference victory and completing the season sweep.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Eddie Mittermeyer was lights out in the first half, pouring in 20 points and finishing with a game-high 22. Junior forward Canan Huss was typically efficient, scoring eight in each half to finish with 16, while senior center Joe Janus and freshman guard Grant Smiskey each tallied 11 to round out four McDonell players in double figures.
