Chippewa Valley This Week
This week we look ahead to the Sept. 28th "Spiritual Abuse: A Workshop to Recognize & Rebuild" from 9a-2p at Valleybrook church in downtown Eau Claire. Partnering with the church in putting on the workshop is "beEmboldened" Founder & Executive Director, Naomi Wright, who's story we feature in this program. Valleybrook's Lead Pastor, Travis Albrecht, opens up about spiritual abuse that occurred at the church ten years ago and why the church wants to provide this workshop now. Also, beEmboldened Board member and Vice Chair, Cat Morgan, of Eau Claire, discusses what spiritual abuse is and how she came to know Naomi Wright and serve on the board for her organization. Saturday's workshop will provide survivors of spiritual abuse and those who care for them with tools, resources, and a supportive environment to aid in their healing and rebuilding journey. Representatives from beEmboldened will also be available to provide information about their services, support networks, and ongoing programs designed for spiritual abuse prevention, healing, and rebuilding. The cost is $39 (college students are free). This includes a Fill-Your-Own Support Toolkit & lunch. Find more information and register at beemboldened.com.
