On the road for the first time in conference play, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (3-1, 1-1 Big Rivers Conference) were in a defensive struggle for most of the first half, before the the Wildcats (2-2, 1-1 BRC), scored the game's first points on an interception return for a touchdown.
After the break, both offenses came alive, and in a contest that looked like it could come down to whichever team possessed the ball last, Chi-Hi made the crucial plays necessary to come up with a stop and a score to seal it.

Senior RB Jackson LeMay scored twice, including on a sensational 59-yard, multiple-tackle-breaking romp, while senior RB and S Jackson Bohland notched his 7th TD of the year and effectively sealed the game with a clutch interception.
